Kathy Kinlaw, MDiv Director, Health Care Ethics Consortium of Georgia Associate Director, Emory University Center for Ethics and Director, Program in Health Sciences and Ethics kkinlaw@emory.edu 404-727-2201 404-727-7399 Fax The founding Director for the Health Care Ethics Consortium of Georgia, Kathy Kinlaw, also serves as the Associate Director of the Emory University Center for Ethics and Director of the Center's Program in Health Sciences and Ethics. Kathy is a Bioethics Associate in Pediatrics, Emory School of Medicine. She is a Board Member for the Georgia Composite Board of Medical Examiners and has also been member of the CDC's Ethics Subcommittee to the Advisory Council to the Director. She continues to serve on CDC workgroups addressing particular public health ethics issues. She co-directs the Emory School of Medicine integration of Clinical Ethics throughout the curriculum and serves on or consults with numerous ethics committees in the state. Her publications and scholarly interest are primarily in the areas of pallative and end of life care, ethics and medical education, perinatal and neonatal ethics, the work of ethics committees, and public health ethics. Prior to joining the Center for Ethics, Kathy completed a fellowship in perinatal ethics at the Department of Pediatrics, Emory School of Medicine. She obtained her Master of Divinity degree from Emory's Candler School of Theology, participated in the Washington Semester in Theology and Public Policy of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and interned at the Office of Bioethics at the National Institute of Health.
